The fifth annual Jacqueline Cochran Air Show dazzled the crowd of 41,000 on Saturday, November 1st with the largest military presence ever. The show, put on by the Riverside County Economic Development Agency and the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport Authority, featured performances from both the United States Air Force and Navy. The A-10 and F-16 Demonstration Teams from the Air Force and the Navy’s F-18 Hornet performed their precision aerial maneuvers, demonstrating their unique capabilities.
Their Heritage and Legacy flights also evoked patriotism as you watched the old and new aircraft fly together. The largest plane to land at the airport, the Air Force’s C-17, was prominently exhibited, among the static displays, for people to get a closer look at the aircraft. The rest of the performers that delighted the audience included John Collver, Chuck Hall, John Piggot, Silver Wings Wingwalking and Jon Melby.
